Just another day to write down as one that should have never been
A day where it is best to stay in bed pull up the covers and forget the world
If it were only that easy...bills to pay and mouths to feed
and try to muddle through just to get what you need
Still you have to stop and wonder what would be
Those what ifs and which road should you have taken
Its so hard to keep up the faith
when your hopes and dreams are all forsaken
But somehow when you look in those little eyes
You see a reason to keep striving
Those little bodies holding such big hearts
It's you they depend on to keep surviving
So you crawl through days of grey skies and rain
and do anything and everything you can to make a change
Keeping the faith is so hard to do
but somehow, someway you know you can make it through
